About the evening from curbsfan..
I drove The Curbs equipment with Pete Taylor to Kelly's Club on Amber Street.
Friend from Partington Stony was the Sound Engineer, as shown in some pics.
I met Alan Jowett, interesting guy. Signed a free copy of his poem book for me.
Bought Issue 3 of City Fun from Liz Naylor tonight, Kelly's was fairly busy too.
Bought two issues of Number One in October, as it was the first, for 10p each.
The Curbs power, belted out Clash debut LP tracks the audience knew very well.
Janie Jones, London's Burning, What's My Name, I'm So Bored With The USA..
Mike Cross cut himself strumming on his strings, blood smeared over his guitar.
A guitar string snapped too. Luckily, Mike has another lead guitar held in reserve.

26.09.2023 - Joan Harral messaged on Facebook that Kelly's was her dad's club.
Joan said, she was the friendly, cute blond serving at the smaller of the two bars.
This was 1978, after her son was born in the April, she very probably served me.
