My God.. I went to this gig but was not converted to punk music at that stage unlike the people I went with....I remember the singer in a headmasters gown kept pouring talcum powder over himself for some reason. The guitarist had a white Les Paul type guitar and wore a very un-punk neckscarf. There were only about a dozen people in the audience so I suppose they were yet to take off........

Joy Divisions future manager Rob Gretton's first (Co) promotion, (I roadied for the gig) I believe there were slightly more than 12 people in attendance (mixed up with the Lesser Free Trade hall maybe -but then 1,000's now say they attended that one LOL)

The dog's head logo is my design, but I can't remember doing the artwork for this (and I don't recognise the style.) I remember that Rob only co-promoted a few shows at The Oaks, and then Vini Faal ended up as sole promoter.

I was also there with some friends and remember that all the band by the end of the Gig were covered in talc.
Tuesday's at The Oaks was Punk Night.
Those were the days!
