I lived in chorlton in 73 and also spent nights in the village when I saw Martha Reeves and I also went into there dressing room and was talking to the 2 women backing singers who I thought was the vandellas but the names they gave me writing on this hardrock sticker was jeanie white and the other I could not make out but jeanie white asked me if I wanted to go back to Detroit with the obviously joking and I saw the chants who were great but not really sure if it was at the village or not but what I do remember was one night when I was drunk and had walked up the very steep steps finally got to the top I was mugged by a Welsh man and his friend gwyn Thomas when one of them was behind me they stole my wallet and watch which had the only photo of a girl I thought a lot about which made the memories of that great club no so nice and old Trafford and stretford were nice areas
