“Nice to see some heavy rock venues in these gig guides.I think Smak were from Oldham,they seemed to be inspired by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band as they were sort of a theatrical comedy band.The singer dressed up in a different costume for each song including thick jam jar bottom glasses and cape for "Sad Sad Superman" and thick soled boots and Boris Karloff monster mask for "Frankenstien's Monster".At one time or another they were called Fly.”
