Flyer
Robot
The Star And Garter
4th July 1999

This is the flyer for our second gig (I think). We would go on to lovingly produce these the week before all our gigs and place them strategically around Manchester (usually just Piccadilly records).

Memories of this are quite sketchy now. I don't know who we played with but I remember quite a few people turned up who'd seen us play previously at Festival of No-Fi 1 the previous September.

The three of us had got pretty wasted at a barbeque in Withington the night before and slept at Steve's (keyboards). I'd had about 2 hours sleep.

We were to play a new song that had a chant of "JUMP JUMP, I GOT MY PANTS ON BACK TO FRONT".

Between morning and the gig Binary Being and myself had gone home to get changed and 'rehearse' and I'd somehow managed to actually put my undies on back to front and spent the entire gig wondering why I was so uncomfortable. When we played that song I remember thinking how fucking stupid I was.

The gig was videoed by Steve's brother who decided to stay out of our way and film from behind us to the right. As such the video consists of our rear ends silouetted against the spotlights.
