“The Night Visitors played at the Mayflower in October 1980, to a packed audience of approximately zero people.

It was an old cinema, I think. I drove along Birch Road today - no sign of the building.”

“I haven't a photo. I remember it being a big hall, with lots of sound system bass bins standing around - the place was run by rastas, I think.”

“I never made it to the Mayflower but, living in Denton, used to pass it regularly along Hyde Rd. Yeah - it was an old, single story, pitched roof, brick-built cinema/music hall scuzzy type place. I was a bit young for its Crasstafarian/Oi type post-punk gigs. I think there's a car wash on the site now - on your left coming out of town.
