The Men Of 992
Stockport College S.U.
1985

A gig where the inimitable Hugh Searle operated a slide machine for us. Behind Sbilts is special guest 'Phones' - courtesy W.A.S.P. - I have a rugby shirt on that I pinched off my (then) ladyfriend, Caroline - don't know to this day what team it represents. I saw the Groundhogs at Stockport College, I went to said same College and eventually ended up supporting The Groundhogs in Macclesfield with The CasualTies, funny old world eh?

“I bought a load of cheap white jackets to reflect the slides off us. I stencilled the Men of 992 on the back (in a nod to Devo). I had too much time on my hands then (only myself wearing one in the picture)They went rotten in my cellar after only one outing). They were pretty bad.”
