Artefact

Photograph
Beat Science, Iron Lung
1975

Photographs were as much a part of Iron Lung as the tunes, Landmark and myself doing the black and white ones ourselves. Here's a rare excursion into colour to try out a new toy of Landmarks, a 20 foot long 'bulb' device that enabled you to take the photo from within the photo without using a self timer on the camera. The bass is a three quarter length Kay I bought on Hillgate in Stockport for about £40 and was intended as an addition to Iron Lung's toy box but actually enticed me away from the drums. I eventually sold it to a wheel tapper at Fiddlers Ferry power station! (I favour my Fender Jazz or my Aria pro these days!)
