A spellbinding shot of drag artists from the Linder Sterling collection ‘We are the kind of people who know the value of time’, courtesy of Stuart Shave/Modern Art.

It was taken in a pub in Salford. Linder can't remember which one, but it was possibly the Blackfriars.

This shot is a favourite of mine. When I look at it gives me the odd feeling that I was actually there; I have fallen back into the moment. There is something very trusting in the ritual Linder has captured.

This image featured in the MDMA exhibition 'Queer Noise' at People's History Museum in 2017.
