George Davenport's Pandemonium Records info sign
George had over 50,000 records in his Newton Heath basement shop.
This great photo is not mine but it evokes happy memories of visits to his shops.

Well, I mainly bought and traded records with George in his old shop back in the 1970/80s. This shop in All Saints on Oxford Road in an upstairs room with rarer vinyl in his stockroom. In April 1975, I recall paying three pounds for a triple Isle of Wight / Atlanta Pop Festival LP set. I once sold him a load of singles for a fiver.
