Happy Mondays, New Order, The Smiths, The Fall
The Ritz
1990

I’m not sure if the exact date. I went to Uni at the end of 1990 but the La’s reissue of ‘There She Goes’ charted that year and this was all the bands indie kids were listening to at the time.
I remember Mondays at the Ritz being more Goth and crusty with Sisters of Mercy and New Model Army and Wednesdays more indie with clothes chosen to make sure your look matched the night. Saturdays were smart clothing and heels. I didn’t go then.
I like the design reflecting the Smiths albums. Using old photos or a still from a film. I don’t know where the image is from though.
