There was a singer called Rockin' Ricky who lived round the corner from me in Ashton and around 1985 I saw an agency photo of him and his band stuck on the till of a video shop in Ashton. Also on this photo was ex-Motorhead drummer 'Philthy Animal' Taylor.I'm probably wrong but could these two Ricky's be one of the same ?.

Yes it was Jubilee Video,I don't know if Phil Taylor ever lived near Prestwich(he was born in Chesterfield)but he left Motorhead in 84' and rejoined them in 87'.He often wore a neck brace after breaking his neck in 1980 if that's any help !.The bloke in the photo may have not been him but he was a dead ringer.I thought at the time that it was probably unlikely that it would be him as your band looked completely different to what he was used to,but there again you never know.Where was the venue in the photo above ?.By the way,if you lived on the Moss I lived on Knowle Avenue.

the venue in the picture was at a hotel on anglesey called the dinorben arms ,and i never did have a drummer by the name of phil ,it would be easier if we had the photo because there was so many changes in line up over the years ,all the best ricky
