Ian Dury's 'New Boots and Panties' was one of the first new wave albums that I bought on cassette, specifically so I could play it in the car. (Soon after, I had the brainwave of buying the albums on vinyl, and making a copy on cassette, so I didn't buy many albums as cassettes). Can't remember much about the gig, except that, being seated, it made for some weird hand-waving dance styles.
