These photos were taken upstairs at The Dancing Weasil pub of band Protest who I knew back then.
The pub was across the road from The Ancoats Hotel which was our usual hangout.

“I just heard from Graham Hill that another one of the band (Brigade) had passed away.

“Hi Neil,
John 'Simmi' Simpson (bass guitar) passed away back in early 2017. I heard, just a few weeks ago, Phil Lee (who was in another one of Simmi's bands, but not The Brigade) had passed away. However, I'm not aware of any other members of The Brigade dying. ...last time I looked, I was still alive and kicking!”
