Ticket
Gmex
31st May 1997

A ticket for the first day of DJ Culture, a two-day dance music trade show billed as the "ultimate party weekender". Stands full of studio equipment and DJ gear, along with tech seminars and DJ workshops. Tickets for the weekend would set you back £11, or a tenner for one day if you turned up on the door. This is a complimentary ticket: no idea who Alex Aitken was. PR guy? Anyway, I'd been learning DJing on vinyl. At the expo, I played for ages on brand spanking new CD DJ decks and decided vinyl was way better.
