Hulme Crescents, The Eagle, Hulme
1992

The (then) abandoned St Georges church ... Hulme Crescents aka Bullrings, compulsory purchased for demolition … back to the dead tree at the foot of my garden… St Georges is now luxury flats. Hulme Park sits where Charles Barry Crescent used to. The dead tree which used to dance in the moonlight is long gone. As are all the young people who once danced beneath it. Taken from 'Joyride', a film by Somnambulist Internationale.
