Vince Earl and the Talismen

Here's a picture of one of the merseybeat groups from my personal collection. I was the drummer with this band and continue to play with various bands on Merseyside, although I now play hand drums and various percussion. Easier to cart round than a full kit!

The band originated on the Wirral but am proud to say that I was born in Hope hospital, Salford (before moving to the Wirral) and lived in School Street - now demolished I believe. The Talismen actually supported the Hollies at their first gig in Liverpool at the Cavern. (Submitted 01/05/08 by Alan Jeacock)
