Discland Record Shop
1970

If you lived in the Little Hulton/Walkden district of Manchester in the 1960s - early 1970s, the chances are you'd have bought your records from Discland, at the Arndale House Shopping Precinct in Walkden. This is a collection of photos (one of their then ubiquitous bags, an opening advert and shots of the exterior and interior of the shop as it was) to preserve the memory of what was for some of us, an important entry into the world of crate digging and record buying.

Discland opened on Friday 6th November 1964 and sadly closed in the mid 1970s.
