It was a Sunday, of course!

We traipsed around various The Smiths-related sites in Manchester, including the famous street sign immortalised on ‘Strangeways Here We Come’.

This was Morrissey-alike Mark (who sadly passed away a few years ago) and me, modelling t-shirts for our erstwhile employer, Identity, owned by the lovely (and legendary) Leo B Stanley.

Photographer AJ Wilkinson did a fantastic job with us two, who clearly were unused to ‘modelling’. Onlookers did a double-take with Mark because from a distance he did indeed pass for ‘Morrissey’. So much so that when one of the photos was used for the ‘North Of England’ cassette many people were convinced it WAS actually Moz.
