Artefact

Ticket
Blinkers
5th June 1978

Invitation ticket to Blinkers, which was at the back of Kendals. When Saturday Night Fever hit, some of the clubs started holding Dance Classes and Competitions. Blinkers was very upmarket, you couldn't wear jeans and the waiter, called Tony (Remember Copacabana ?!) had to wear a bow-tie! The Dance classes were really funny to watch, just like the film. We didn't take part -we wanted to do our own Thing!

“Mat - just checked, 38 King St West puts this in the building that was the Berlin club for which I've added items and a link to a photo.

The Millionaire Club (wasn't that where Stringfellow started out?) was a lowrise building off Fountain St in the banking district.

Cheers”
