In 1982 I was introduced to Dislocation Dance and worked for them for a number of years. The band included Andy Diagram on trumpet and keys and, as with anyone I knew at the time who was also on the music scene in Manchester, I would follow their career over the years with interest and record any TV appearances they might be on, if I could. I'd always been a 'collector' of audio and visual stuff from an early age and this was just a continuation. So I now just have a lot of 'stuff'! And I'm occassionally going through the 100s of videos I have and finding little gems to digitise and upload. So here is Andy with James performing 'Sound' on a Saturday morning in 1991 on Going Live. Andy also played trumpet on a John Peel session I recorded back in the day and is still a good friend, along with the rest of the original Dislocation Dance, especially the singer/saxophonist Kathryn Way to whom I'm married!
