Music from the North West from local labels with a special feature on the punk band Slaughter, also known as Slaughter and the Dogs from Wythenshawe, Manchester. Music from the local labels also includes the British rock band XTC, the post-punk Liverpool band Tear Drops Explode, and the Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) from Merseyside. The Tear Drops Explode from Liverpool, X-O-Dus (Exodus), a reggae band from Moss Side, Manchester. The Stiffs from Blackburn, New Wave Manchester artist Steve Miro, and the Manchester band the Tiller Boys feature in the album of the week from the New York band The Feelies.
