1969

The year is 1969. Backstage The Kings Hall, Belle Vue, Manchester. The young man with ballet girls is Pianist Anthony Gay (now Pianist Tony William) living Staffordshire at time of posting. The Event was part of the National Railway Carnival and was "A Children's Ballet" presented by Joan Bates, Dance Teacher of Heaton Moor, Stockport. Joan also did a "Christmas Children's Ballet" each year from the mid 1960s, also in the King's hall. Rehearsals were held at The Kent Suite, The Elizabethan Ballroom etc. for the Railway Carnival Event. Added: 12/08/2026.
