## Chapter Two — The Story Continues

The biography above captures a particular chapter in Julie E Gordon's creative life, the years shaped by Manchester's music scene, recording studios, touring, songwriting, collaboration and live performance.

It remains part of her story.

What followed was not a departure from that world, but an expansion of it.

Since leaving Manchester, Julie's relationship with voice has evolved beyond her own work as a singer-songwriter and performer into education, artist development, communication, cultural programming and social impact.

Now based in Dubai, she is the founder of **TheVocalPod**, through which more than three decades of professional experience in music and performance inform her work with emerging artists, young creatives, students and professionals.

Her work has expanded into **TheVocalPod Learning Series**, bringing voice into public speaking, workplace communication and English communication development, while **Voice Lab** continues the artist-development lineage that began much earlier in her career.

Julie is also the creator of **THEGENSHIFT**, an intergenerational cultural platform bringing Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha into conversation through music, creativity, identity and lived experience.

In 2026, she published *Beyond Being Heard: A Memoir on Voice, Presence & Identity*, bringing together many of the ideas that have travelled with her throughout her career: what it means to find a voice, lose it, reshape it and ultimately understand its value.

Her work now extends across education, creative industries, cultural development and social impact in the UAE, while maintaining the musical foundations established during her years in Manchester.

The geography has changed.
The work has expanded.
But the voice remains at the centre.
