Letter
The Hallé
1914

Two of the letters in 'Love’s Tempest' volume of marked proofs of the octavo vocal score dated February 24, 1914, and a copy of the first edition score. The sketch is written in abbreviated form. The sequence of phrases matches the final version but the vocal-line differs from it in melodic and harmonic details.
Professor Charles Sanford Terry [1864-1936], is the C.S.T. that the letter is addressed to as well as the dedicatee of the piece.
