Artefact

Homo Electric flyer designed by Paula McNamara. This was back in the Follies days when the club was at its best. Musically, Homo Electric was all about big disco, house and pop in the main room. Sometimes there was an MC or 'chanteuse' hollering pointlessly over perfectly complete records. You were welcome if you were a 'homo', 'hetero', 'lesbo' or 'don't know'.

Interesting that the music ended up being 'big disco, house and pop'. Originally Luke and I wanted to play deep house and nu disco, like Balihu, Moodymann etc, but over the years it became more party-orientated music. I can remember playing Blondie (Atomic) as last tune at the first one and Luke looking very unsure. I had already crossed the Rubicon and there would be no turning back!
