“I spent many a night in the company of Norman, Balis , Tim and Dave. arranging gigs and promoting the band. There was also a very special friend of mine who was a very cool musician and his name was Lenny Zaskin he was the Sax player for Sad Cafe but played regularly with no mystery. Balis Novak was classically trained pianist of high regard but his forte was jazz and he was a magnificent fender rhodes Player and had his own trio that played at the best jazz clubs including Ronnie Scots. The trio where regulars at all the jazz festivals. Norman Baker was a blues guitarist of the highest quality with a who's who of greatest artists of the time. From Eric Clapton Jack Bruce, Alexis Corner to BB King. He even played backing for my hero Otis Reading. It was a privilege able to say they where my friends. Happy happy times”
