“BBC Record Label, Young Folk In Worship (ft. Heather Jones) recorded at Dickinson Road BBC studios in 1971. John Thewlis, lead singer, still has hair - but not the barnet illustrated on the record sleeve.
Photo taken sitting in overpoweringly bright sunshine outside the studio (was a church).
Youngest guitarist, small boy towards front right of the photo, is Richard Darbyshire who was a great little singer/songwriter in his own right. (Living in a Box, Richard Darbyshire for more on his recording career - You may have seen "Living In A Box" or "Room In Your Heart" on Top of the Pops.
The group featured regularly on the BBC - radio and TV. Recorded TV series "Sing a New Song" in the London studios with Cliff Richard and The Settlers
If you're wondering what they sounded like, "bouncy", please buy the album; it comes up occasionally on the bay.”
