Jay Spearman and the Javelins was a band formed in Prestatyn in 1960.

The band started in 1960 and two of us turned pro in 1962 moving to Bolton and then Manchester but were not able to get enough gigs to keep going and packed it up in the fall of 1962.

I later moved to the Midlands and played semi pro/ pro over 1965 to 1967 when I moved to Canada. In Canada I had a bar band 'The Jolly Roger Band' and worked pro and semi-pro for the next 20 years until 1987 when I moved to the USA, giving up playing in a band.
