Syncopation
1982

Syncopation were a new wave band from the Altrincham & Sale (correct me if I'm wrong) areas who developed a strong local following. They released a cassette only album of studio demos, of which "Marking Time" became a live favourite. The track was also released on the Facsimile Liasons label in 1982 (cat. no. AFL4) b/w "Syncopation". A rare Manchester classic! If anybody has a copy of the tape album, please post.

“I was the lead singer. James Carter. A long time ago but great days. The drummer Craig is still playing in a band called Randolph Swain and the Red Lights and I've started doing a bit of stuff under the name 'Tramping Artisan'. Have a Facebook page Facebook.com/Tramping Artisan. We have a CD and we occasionally play Manchester.”
