Is it irony that The Drones became 'City Drones'? I thoroughly enjoyed the later days of The Drones and the start of City Drones; and must have managed most weeks of their long residence at the Band On The Wall (8 weeks?) in early '80's. By then the music was what became regarded as 'powerpop' but the band were arguably better than the original Drones.
