Artefact

Photograph
Leigh Casino
22nd January 2008

This is the stage of Leigh Casino (during demolition) - a lot less well-known that the illustrious worldwide known counterpart down the road. The Beatles played here in the 60s as well as a host of other well known bands. Yet despite this pedigree it still fell foul of the most backwards (sic) looking planning department in the country (Wigan Council) when it comes to preserving historic buildings. Vermin. P.S. Sorry for the crap quality of the picture.
