The man himself was in gloriously shambolic form failing to find his chosen poems amongst the reams that he pulled from a carrier bag. Nevertheless, he continues to generate a warmth that would be the envy of any performer.

Meanwhile, an interview in this weekend's Guardian includes recollections of the early Manchester/Salford years and his time here with Nico.

I did a bit at The Big Chill meself and, as a poet, you don't expect much of a review from a music mag so, as you can imagine, I was slightly chuffed with this write-up from indie mag The Fly.
