Dancing Tarantulas
8th March 1985

A gig at Bold Miner's Worker's Club during the miner's strike with Dancing Tarantulas and some Belfast lads as well as a cabaret band called Winston, I think, who were all silver suits and long hair....strange night but all for a good cause. There was a lot of this going on at the time. There was a coachful from The Poly on Oxford Road, some of them trying to out-do each other in the right-on stakes with songs from the socialist hymn book...I think Lowry would have been proud of the artwork.I even got a snog from what would now be called a cougar....good job I had to get back on the coach!
