“I seem to recall that Durutti Column's Vini Reilly was actually born in Heaton Park. There were some pre-fab houses in there at one time apparently.”
“I used to work with someone who lived in those pre-fabs.

I think they were put up during or just after World War 2, and were on the Sheepfoot Lane side of the park - there are still a few pre-fab buildings there, some sort of council buildings I think (maybe an old school).”
