Flyer
James, Jazz Defektors
Platt Fields (Festival)
1st August 1986

Pretty sure it pissed down late in the afternoon at this one.I'm also sure James were on the bill.If it was this event I remember they were particularly good. Also Fred "The (annoying) Weatherman" from Granada doing his "live" report. Why couldn't he of forewarned us,or given out umbrellas or sumthin'!And Mr.Manchester himself,Bruce Mitchell lurking about. When the skies opened a lot of people did the dart to the surrounding pubs, and far less drifted back after.Paul Blake's Bloodfire Posse doing "Rub-a-Dub Soldier",(possibly the first....and only reggae choon to include scratching).....classic!
