Rich But Happy
1986

Rich But Happy, a young band from Urmston, destined for greatness before their still confusing split. Band member's Rodney, Adam and Jason went on to form Hulio Ridiculo who were they themselves tipped for the top but also split. The lead singer (Andy Chester) going on to form My Computer.

Rich But Happy would often play The Gallery, The Grey Horse and other small venues around Manchester with their jangly pop, taking with them their small but loyal following.

It was rumoured that a deal was in the offing before their split, so who knows what might have been?

Lead vocalist, Steve O'Donoghue went on to form, Salvatore and now tours under his own name as an acoustic artist.
