Shades Of No One
Wishing Well Club
3rd April 1978

Flyer by Foz, singer in The Change.

Latest Discussion

“Shades of No-One did a number of gigs at the Wishing Well around this time, before falling apart in fairly acrimonious circumstances. I was the guitarist.

Shades of No One's line-up was:

Poz (Paul Miller) - vocals
Blow (Rob Blow) - guitar
Wodge (Gaz Warren) - drums
Wedge (Steve Kelly) - bass

Prior to this, we were known as the Submergers and originally, Chaos 4. The Submergers/Chaos 4 also included Beano (Dave Croker, if I remember correctly) on guitar and Hilly (Dave Hillman?) on bass.

I left Manchester in 1980 and lost track of a lot of people on the local scene. I only really stayed in contact with our singer, Poz, who sadly died a few years back.

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of the band, although there is a very dodgy tape recording of one of our gigs lying around.

So, if anyone out there has pics, please add them.

“My bloody memory. Fixed to Steve Kelly :)

Yeah, I miss Poz loads as well. When he was in London, he mentioned you. Another sad thing is, we'd kind of fallen out and weren't speaking for a couple of years before he died. There's a lesson to be learned in that.”

“Lo Foz Rob
How come when I hear from someone from the past there is always someone who's fell by the way. Must be an age thing. The last time I saw Poz was at the ANL.RAR gig in the Moss.
I'd like to remember him as he was then. Mad ed.”
