Flyer
Megatone Massive
The Tropicana
22nd April 1985

Flyer for The topical Tropicana featuring an actual etching of one of the damned elusive palm trees! Rumour had it that Frankie Paul would play at this gig and for once the rumour was right. Top-a-top gig and no mistake...Megatone doing the Haul and Pull Up at this one and as usual with these sounds, constantly morphing and changing their name....Megatone Massive, Megatone Wassive, Megatone Disco Bomb etc. Disco in this case meaning Discomix or the common or garden 12 “ which was the usual reggae format and often included a dubwise version with a toast/ chat over the top take as well; simply the best! A golden era in this style of music and has had something of a resurge in Japan, Germany and outernationally. Another nice flyer I might stick up on me wall if I ever find the space/ time continuum...
Sir Coxsonne up from London for the clash.
