Last of any Art House/ Hulme stuff ; getting too much...This one for the opening night soiree at The Cornerhouse. Bad idea inviting me though ‘cos, as was often the case I got thrown/ hauled out; seemed to be a bit of a recurring theme back then. It wasn’t my fault though, I was just standing there minding my own business etc...After a few months they lifted a ban on me and although I’m not much of a film buff I did like to go and see the odd film. “Kiss of the Spider Woman “was the new buzz film round that time and “Salome's Last Dance”; the only film I ever walked out of. Not because it was really bad, more because it was dull and self-indulgent, and I thought there’s loads of better things I could be doing instead of this:- like ironing my socks, standing in the gutter whilst looking at the stars etc....
