Thirst
Polars Bar
1988

Adds for bars/ clubs from “Uptown” music paper Nov ’88.Polars was a top bar, just over from the Band on the Wall and along from Record Peddlar record shop. It was run by Lee Pickering and family, an erstwhile member of ex Fall peeps, Thirst. It was a bit of a hang-out for some Mondays heads and other local bands, and had a great jukebox.....
Chubby Brown ( a.k.a. Royston Vasey as on The League of Gentleman I seem to recall), appearing at Fagins.....ttere always seemed to be cassette tapes floating around of his shows for some reason...
