Frank Sidebottom
Albert Square, Manchester
10th November 1988

Again from "Uptown" music paper, Nov '88.Bit late and unseasonal for this little gem, then again it’s good to get in early for next year...Switching on of the Christmas lights in Albert Square with the S.A.W. stable doin’ their promotional thang; kinda glad I wasn’t there.....I doubt whether they still hoist the giant inflatable Santa up the side of the Town Hall, with the reindeers up top; most mornings I’d see it out the window from my flat, it was a bit of a let- down so to speak...Glad to see Frank made an appearance.
Some interesting facts on the left; I never knew Henry VII stayed at The King’s Head but I did know Marx and Engels drank at The Queen’s Head in Stockport; great place to start a revolution.....
