Flyer
Joy Division, Tiller Boys
Factory Club (see also Russell Club)
9th June 1978

One of a couple of formats of flyer I have for this early Factory night at the Russell Club. This one was designed by Linder. This was a top night Joy Division were on great form. But the Tiller Boys set was out of this world. They started playing before the audience were let into the gig and as their set went on a barrier of stools was erected on the edge of the stage between them and the audience. They often left the stage either one at a time or as a group to have a drink at the bar with the audience, leaving feedback loops and radio tuners to keep up the noise on stage. It was anything goes back then!
