Erasure at the Hacienda.

Talented man that Vince Clarke chap...Got a 12'' somewhere of him with the legendary Asha Bothle (of "Brimful of Asha" fame) on vocals. She's the the most recorded artist in music history, mostly thanks to all her Bollywood film sound tracks.
There's also the similarly named Asha Puthle ,who did some classy Jazzy crossovers in the early '70s; must track down that first album one day....

“Wow, Dubby! Are these flyers another surprise find from deep in the attic? Great!”

“I don't have an attic Abs as, if I did, I'd end up in the flat upstairs. I do however have some cardboard boxes from the shops and a fine collection of Netto bags full of old tat in which I lucky dip, sometimes finding nothing and sometimes, as if by magic, the odd gem. The fat lady will have to hold her breath a bit longer as I haven't quite got to finishing up just yet......”

“Another one of the flyers produced from my studio in Ancoats (New Islington)! We would use the framework and simply replace the typesetting in the middle. This was given the special treatment because it was 'gay' and therefore had the expense of having a screened image on it as well. The cyan blue ink was from our standard Gestetner range and printed live in Ancoats!”
