Add for Spin Inn.Do people still say “I’m going on the continent for my holidays....?”. Sounds kinda old fashioned, but it was a show offy thing to say back in the ‘60’s and 70’s.....not a lot of people know that.....

“Great stuff! I recently uploaded an essay by Greg Wilson which explores the link between Spin Inn and the gay scene.”

“I used to buy import soul / funk / jazz-funk from Spin Inn '75-'79. Greg Wilson's article makes great reading, but should've given a mention to HMV on Market Street and a guy called Derek (?) who stocked import 7's as soon as Spin Inn and knew his soul music. I also used to go to Smarty's next door for funk sessions '78-'79 hearing several disco classics there for first time ("Native New Yorker" & "Shame" included).”
