The Secret Seven were a short lived group who released one single, Hold On To Love b/w Up In Smoke on Bronze Records. They were former Distractions vocalist Mike Finney, Bernard Van Den Berg (drums), "AJ" (bass), Julie Middles (Mick's ex - vocals), Danny Cummings (percussion), Don Garbutt (keyboards) & Martin Hayles (guitar). The group received some decent press at the time, but according to Finney "The Secret Seven was set-up to intentionally have certain conflicts – unfortunately I was too naïve to realise what that really meant. When the arguments started, we blew apart. Bronze Records, who we were signed to, folded because of the owner Gerry Bron’s divorce settlement and that sort of sealed it..."
