Tools You Can Trust, Fragile Friends
The Venue (Whitworth Street West)
23rd July 1985

From City Life 35, June '85.Good band them.
Mention further down of a live album recorded at The Venue; must have been when they hit the big time.
"Manchester's got a really bad tradition of this alternative hippy thing. It's got a really good tradition of trade unionism". That's one way of putting it...
Other musical stuff in this issue:-that, at an Afro/Carribean night at The Hac, "Laughing Gravy proved yet again that as a cabaret dancer he makes a sensational nuclear physicist...".
A local band called Fragile Friends playing at Corbierre's; good bar that.Don't recall the band but apparently they released a few 7"s as well as a 12" E.P. and possibly destined for big things....
