1985

From City Life 35, July ’85; reviews of demos from the “Pop” section. The Blue Zone, featuring one Lisa Stansfield. Remember her as a presenter on a kiddies programme; accents like that were memorable as they were few and far between on the telly back then. Other bands reviewed on the page:- A.C.R. “Wild Party” 12”, they seemed to have released an inordinate amount of records....
Conspiracy featuring George Borowski;.although The Outs “Who is Innocent” is an all time pop pick (something about the horns; The Saints “Follow The Leaders” from a later time and for a similar reason...), not sure how I missed them but think I did.
Review of The Ignition’s “Billy The Kid” and “Black and Blue”.
