Sounds From the Other City Festival is an annual multi-venue shindig in Salford.

Rover's Return
King's Arms
Black Lion
Sacred Trinity
Mark Addy
Salford Arms

I loafed about all day and missed most of the action, but arrived at the Rover's Return in time to see Hooker's blistering set - perhaps the best gig I've ever seen them perform.

There was a party at Islington Mill afterwards where a great deal of peculiar behaviour could be witnessed.

At one point I was taken behind locked doors by a lady who promised to show me her secret kiln. This she did, and I took home a lovely glazed ceramic cup as a souvenir.
