The Drainpipes

Band Members Shaun Gilroy - Lead Vocals Joel Kay - Bass/Backing Vocals Anthony Kluge - Drums/Backing Vocals Jak Bradley - Lead Guitar The Drain Pipes are a 4-piece energetic indie/punk band from Manchester, whose name comes from the bands ever-tight performances. The band formed in November 2005 and in their first year played 33 gigs up and down the UK including a festival slot at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall and support slots with Les Incompetents, The Holloways, The Pigeon Detectives and Our Fold to name a few. A five track demo was recorded in June 2006, giving the band exposure in many parts of the country. It has also been a promising start to 2007 to grabbing a slot in the North West leg of the Transit Tour, and having gigs lined up in various parts of the country up until spring. With an expanding song catalogue of love, hate, jealousy and loneliness the Drain Pipes will carry on to give off the ever tight performances here, there and everywhere. The band recorded their first demo at Blue Room studios in Prestwich. They are booked in Moula Rouge studios in Stockport on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March 2007 to record new tracks.
